In addition to strategic communications work, I have a lot of fun doing photography and video. It's a chance to look for interesting details that other people might not see, and bring them out. What I discover might be a smile from someone who is usually serious, two people sharing ideas, or a beautiful combination of colors. I worked with the amazing team at Vivid Story Studio to produce these two videos for IIE’s 2017 Gala. Dr. Salam Al Kuntar, with help from IIE’s Scholar Rescue Fund, was able to escape Syria and obtain a teaching position at the University of Pennsylvania. George Batah, also Syrian, was able to come to the U.S. with assistance from IIE’s Emergency Student Fund.
